This is the awesomest day EVER!

Today was really awesome and HOTT!
Just like the title.
For the 2nd to the last race of the IIAAG high school paddling, we did soo good.

For the Manhoben girls and Manhoben mixed we came in first for everything.

I'm soo happy and i'm sure everybody in that boat were too.

So first place in Manhoben Girls and first place in Manhoben Mixed(Tony steering) Tony, you did very good.
Your turns were PERFECT the steering was good.
Put it all together, you did AWESOME as your first time steering.

Our times for Mahoben ladies and mixed were the same with the 500 meters.
Tami was stroking the manhoben ladies and i was stroking the manhoben mixed.
Our times were 3:27. The manhoben ladies was 3:27:07 and the mixed was 3:27:22.
So, me and Tami have the same stroke rate, but Tami's was just a little faster probably because of the turns.

OH yeah i didn't mention that Alex was on the boat on the last manhoben race and he was just calling Power Ten's and fourty-fours right after another.
After the end of the race, i was like, " Alex, you can't just keep calling power ten's and fourty-fours right after another."
Well, i wasn't mad, i was just really tired.
He kept calling, PTs(power tens) and saying "PICK UP THE PACE!"
I was pooped.
Then i told Tami, "Man, i'm going to sleep for THREE hours today."
Anybody from the team, if your reading this...
I wasn't mad, i was just frikking TIRED! LOL
HOLY COW! You cannot believe this, but i got really sunburn.
As i was pulling up my spandex, i saw my tan line i got really sunburn.
But it's gone, soo NEVERMIND!

We went to the mall right after the race, man! I sure was really hungry.
So we ate...BLAH BLAH BLAH!
We got home.
I only slept for ONE HOUR!
I guess i wasn't that tired after that ice cream(coldstone) i had.

The boat was flying like WHOOOOAAAA!

GOOGLE! My hero

Keziah Balbastro has inspired me to write this blog. : )
Oh my gosh!
It's google.
My hero. : )

I mean, who can't live without google?
No one right?
I mean, i can't live without google.

For projects, i can search up some information that i have no clue what it's on.
And guess what?
GOOGLE IS THERE TO SAVE MY DAY!

Voice in the background: "Have you ever had this time where you were stuck on a question, and had no clue what the anwser was?"
*dah dah dah daaaaa!
Google is right there, jump on your computer and go to google.com.

Lady who went on google and google saved her day: "I was stuck on this question, 'what was the world like in the beginning?' I checked it up on Google, and BAM! My anwser was right there. There were so many choices to choose from. I couldn't believe it. The next thing you know, i saved Google on to my favs on the computer. Now everytime i have a question, or don't know how to do something, i can always go to my favs list, and click on google, and it will bring me right to the site!. I was soo amazed on how it gave me these choices on which site to go to."

Man who went on google and saved his day: "Holy cow! i LOVE google. I have been wanting to know which sites to anwser my questions. I went on Yahoo, ask.com, and wikipedia, they barely anwsered my question. I got part of my anwsers there, but GOOGLE. There's nothing like GOOGLE! Google just anwsered my question in like a *SNAP! There was a bunch of anwsers to my question."

Voice in the background: So you see? Look how google saved peoples lives. You could be one of those people that google saves. So start going there now, and asking questions!

Merizo to Cocos Island?

Today, April 05, 2009, It was the championships for Oc1, Oc2, and Va'a.
It was a really pretty REALLY EARLY morning.
Waking up at 5:45AM, and to me, that's really early.
I don't really get up that early.
So of course, i was a little grouchy. LOL

We had to go to Merizo, and that's where the race championships were.
GAH! One hour to get to Merizo.
Man, how tiring that was.
Remind you, this is a LONG distance race!

One mile in a half a little before Cocos Island, and turn around and head back to Merizo Pier.
That's 3 miles all together. : )

It was really hard going to Cocos and going back to Merizo Pier.
I was on the Va'a(rutterless one man canoe).
You have to do a "C" stroke to steer the boat.
So it was me, Nate, Taka, Julius, Maia, and Andrew on these Va'as.
It was fun, but guess what?
We ALL had to paddle ont he same side from Merizo to Cocos.
The wind was blowing really hard and the waves were really HIGH!
The water in my boat was filled to my ankles.
To Cocos Island, we all paddled on the left side so that our noses would face into the wind.
Going back to Merizo, we all paddled on the right side so once again, our noses of our boats would face into the wind.

For MY first time, i actually beat the TWO boys who i REALLY wanted to beat.
Guess who it was?
TAKA and ANDREW!
Wooohooo!
I came in first in the girls division.
But i came in second with Skyyler and Maddy in first place.
They were the only Oc2(Two man).
I took 40 minutes and some seconds.

Gahh, i was already getting really mad on the way to Cocos Island.
I wanted to quit.
But i didn't, i ENCOURAGED myself to keep going and i believed in myself.
: )
I HAVE CONFIDENCE!

I'm really proud of myself.: )

Well, i'm really tired, SUNBURN(i forgot to put on sunblock...oops), and my stomach is hurting.
Oh, and COACH RON IS BACK! woohoo.
He also showed up to the race.

Well, gotta go!
DINNER TIME!
Mom: "Kailee, time for dinner"
Kai: "Coming MOM!"

Today was so awesome.

Oh my gosh!
I get to the beach for our SECOND race. (Five races in all)

Adrienne gets there, we all set up and get everything in place and the Manhoben girls are in the first heat.
I was getting all nervous cuz the race is turns, and the manhoben are doing 500 all the way for the whole 4 races.

I find out that Maia is steering the Manhoben cuz Rachel(Sottera) steers"woman" is not going to show.
So, i was like what am i going to do?
Adrienne tells me i'm on Sottera, STEERING!
The Sottera races are 500 and 1000! 1000 is 3 turns, but 4 laps.
I was getting even MORE nervous! oh my gosh.

My Manhoben girls did soo AWESOME!
They did a great job on their turns (uni, kahi).
During practice, they still didn't really get the change overs, but even though they didn't get their "huts" and "ho's" together they were really good, and i'm proud of them : )
Good Job Ladies!

Sottera, they did really GREAT too.
We sadly got last place.
But seriously? They did really good on their turns, i'm suprised i did really good.
I was just really nervous for my turns.
I wasn't really prepared for anything but steering.
So the mixed race comes around, i ask Diamond, "are you steering for the mixed". He said, "yes"
I was thinking in my head, i wonder what i'm going to do?
Eventually, i asked Adrienne who's stroking for the mixed, she said you!
Ahh, even more scared and nervous.
I haven't stroked in quite a while.

Turns out, i did a really good job.
Our last race, we came in first place in our heat, but remember, it's all about the TIME!

TIME! TIME! TIME!
I have an OC1 distance race tomorrow.
I've never an OC1 distance race before.
We have to be at MERIZO at 7 in the morning.
GAHH!
I'm going to be SUPER DUPER EXTRA tired tomorrow.
Good thing it's SPRING BREAK!
woohoo!
